About It-Tlieqlaq ta ‘Tliet Saqajn (3 legged race)

Like many other old-time games, the origin of It-Tlieqlaq ta ‘Tliet Saqajn (3 legged race) or three legged race is obscure but it certainly came to Malta by the British who very much love the game.

How to play It-Tlieqlaq ta ‘Tliet Saqajn (3 legged race)

A three-legged race is a running event involving pairs of participants running with the left leg of one runner strapped to the right leg of another runner. The objective is for the partners to beat the other contestant pairs to the finish line.  It’s one of those games which helps build community spirit for though it’s a race it’s mostly for enjoyment and can be a bundle of laughs as the participants work together to bound towards the finish line, often tumbling down together in an ungainly fashion.
